eLearning Team Manager - New Zealand - Wellington

We are looking for a technically minded learning and development specialist to manage our Wellington HQ’s eLearning Team. You will need to be capable of leading a multi-skilled and distributed team of Developers and Project Managers in the delivery of learning solutions to a very wide range of customers based on Open Source projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer engagement and business development with specialist Learning and Development (L&D) clients

  • Programme management for the delivery of multiple L&D implementation projects

  • Management of direct reports, providing pastoral care, professional development support and mentorship

  • Manage the operational outcomes of the business

Requirements:

  • A track record in the delivery of Learning and Education solutions

  • Team Leadership experience including recruitment and performance management

  • Convincing communicator; verbally and in writing

  • Able to motivate individuals and teams of highly skilled individuals

  • A proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects

  • Business development, account and customer relationship management experience

  • Broad technical understanding of infrastructure and software environments

  • Demonstrable experience of working with Learning Management and Portfolio Systems

  • Financial management oversight

  • Must be comfortable working autonomously in ambiguous environments

Nice to have

  • Moodle, Totara or Mahara administration experience
