Catalyst in Argentina

Catalyst's resident Moodle guru and native Argentinean, Martin Langhoff, recently returned from a successful invitational tour of Chile and his home country.

Catalyst's Martin Langhoff at Chile's premier private university.
Martin is a popular speaker and active participant at Moodle conferences worldwide. This trip allowed him to see the e-learning platform being used in some small regional settings in Chile, as well as share some of his extensive knowledge of the product.

"I was very pleased to be speaking at Chile's premier private university, UNIACC. Many of the graduates - who make extensive use of Moodle e-learning during their study - go on to work for major international companies like Coca-Cola or General Motors", said Langhoff.

"Large corporations are seeing the benefits of best of breed open source products like Moodle for staff training and career development. Perhaps some UNIACC graduates with help spread the word."

Martin also participated in an open source conference in Buenos Aires as an international guest speaker, alongside Google technical lead and Python community luminary Alex Martinelli.

"Participation in the open source communities that support some the products we use at Catalyst is an important aspect of what we do", said Langhoff. "We need to stay in touch to stay ahead and deliver value to our clients."
