Mahara - open source eportfolios
Mahara is an open source electronic portfolio, blogging and social networking tool, allowing users to demonstrate their life-long learning, skills and development over time to selected audiences.
It provides users with blogging tools, a file repository, resume builder and the innovative views framework, which allows users to lay out their portfolio using a drag and drop interface. Users can interact with each other through social networking features like groups and friends, all in a safe environment that you control.
Catalyst are the developers and maintainers of the Mahara project, and have been since it began in 2006. We have inside-out knowledge of Mahara and are able to provide installation, hosting, consulting, integration and development services.
Mahara is provided freely as open source software from www.mahara.org, where a thriving community of volunteers and users assists with Mahara's development.

Survey.Net - online surveys
Survey.Net makes it easy and cost effective to run web-based surveys. You don't have to install any software - all you and your respondents need is a web browser.
Building your survey is a simple three-step process:
- Create a survey
- Add your questions, codes and logic
- Link it from you own website, or broadcast to your supplied list of e-mail respondents.
Survey.Net gives you instant graphical survey results. There is also a query builder so you can drill down into your data, a table builder so you can run those cross-tabs. You can also export your survey data for further analysis.
Use of the base product is free - Catalyst have modified it on behalf of our clients for specialised feedback surveys, forms based data entry, and even electronic voting.
Visit [www2.survey.net.nz] or contact [Mike O'Connor] for a discussion on your specific needs.
