Catalyst is pleased to announce the latest version of Mahara.
Mahara is an open source ePortfolio system for which Catalyst is the maintainer. This release follows the successful October 2015 release, in which Bootstrap was introduced. Now, the flash-based media player has been replaced by a modern HTML5 alternative to allow the playback of video and audio on all devices. Mahara also comes with built-in functionality to display Open Badges, which can be used as micro-credentials and other displays of learning.
Altogether, 458 changes – new features and bug fixes – have been made for this release, and people from all corners of the world contributed to the code base, translations, and user manual.
