Introduction to the ePortfolio system Mahara 
13 November - 2 hours - free - 
Mahara is an open source ePortfolio and social learning system. It is being used in schools, universities and other institutions where learners and employees need to demonstrate skills, competencies and achievements. Users can set up portfolios in which they showcase their learning and progress over time.  In this session participants will learn about the benefits of using Mahara for creating portfolios and learn about the new features that have been implemented recently.
Javascript Basics

Get started with JavaScript. Join us to get a grounding in JavaScript syntax and scoping rules as well as the Document Object Model.  We'll also touch on the jQuery library and jQuery plugins.
Getting started with the Catalyst Cloud
22 November - 1 day - $760 (ex gst)
Get started with New Zealand's only public cloud, the Catalyst Cloud.  This course will teach you the skills you need to get your own instance up and running, and get you familiar with the documentation. Attendees don't need to have any prior experience with OpenStack or cloud orchestration.
26 November - 1 day - $760 (ex gst)
You will learn to install Ansible and use it to run commands on remote servers. You will progress to writing playbooks to automate the creation of cloud resources and the configuration of Linux servers.
Python Introduction for non-Programmers
27 November - 1 day - $760 (ex gst)
This training session will introduce you to Python syntax and philosophy. You will learn about Python, and have plenty of opportunity to put it into practice. If you have little to no prior experience in programming this course is for you. 
27 & 28 November  - 2 days - $1,750 (ex gst)
This course will examine the role of the Product Owner and explore the different relationships required with end users, customers, business stakeholders and those building the product.  This is a hands on course. Using a simulation, we will work through the life-cycle of a product, from idea, to identifying the market and users, through to planning for what needs to be done first, developing a road map, working with stakeholders and team through to measuring and forecasting progress.
Introduction to Docker

Learn how to use the software containerisation platform, Docker. We'll show you where Docker can be used, how to use the Docker command line and give you an understanding of the Docker environment.
