Content creators play a huge role in making sure websites are accessible for users - from writing the content of a page, to uploading images and videos, to posting on social media. Guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA) and New Zealand government web standards, this half-day course will cover topics around web accessibility relevant to those who are responsible for creating content to their organisation's websites.

Mahara: It takes a village

by Kristina Hoeppner

While Catalyst does the majority of the development work, we don't come up with new features and changes to Mahara in a vacuum. Together with our clients and the wider community, we learn what students, educators, and professionals looking to use portfolios want to see in a contemporary ePortfolio platform.

Illustration of ten faceless people doing various activities with tablets, phones, and computers, with the Mahara logo behind them. Text reads "From Aotearoa New Zealand to the world. Celebrating 15 years of supporting learners."
