We are excited to announce that we are the first supplier in New Zealand to be approved by the Department of Internal Affairs on the New Zealand Marketplace for Web Accessibility.
The DIA Marketplace
The Marketplace is an online market that makes it easy for agencies to view innovative digital products and services and communicate with their vendors.
For a vendor to qualify for Web Accessibility, it must prove its proficiency in applying and providing solutions for accessibility according to the NZ Government Standards Act. Catalyst IT is currently the only NZ company that has been able to demonstrate a thorough and accurate understanding of the standards.
Catalyst is registered for Web Accessibility
Don Christie, Catalyst's Managing Director, said “To be the first New Zealand Web Accessibility supplier registered on the Department of Internal Affairs on the Marketplace is fantastic and we are so excited to be in the process of building a workflow that ensures every project that leaves Catalyst is accessible.”
Catalyst is an open source IT company with offices in Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Australia and Europe. At Catalyst, creating websites that are accessible to all is fundamental to Catalyst's ethos of open source. Building websites that meet WCAG standards means you are building websites that are accessible to all. Building to WCAG standards is not only creating sites for people who are visually impaired or hard of hearing, but also for people who use a mobile phone in the sunshine or watch a video on the train.
Catalyst can help you with accessibility audits, consultancy services and training. As an IT company, we take accessibility seriously, embedding it into our development projects from the beginning, right from requirements gathering, wireframing, and acceptance criteria through to development and QA.
